Kiawah New Years Wedding

We packed up and headed to Kiawah a few weeks ago to celebrate my cousin Meg, her husband Chris and their sweet baby Hatton.  

On the way there we stopped in Augusta for lunch and some play time with our sweet friends. This is Elizabeth and one of their girls, Maddie.  

We did some Christmas celebrating since we weren't together for Christmas this year. 

E got the most...surprise surprise :)

This girl LOVES the beach! She was so happy to be in the sand and water she didn't care how cold it was!

We checked out the bookstore...

And just made ourselves at home :)

Christmas Day

Santa (and everyone!) was good to us!

He even left a sweet note for Elizabeth ;)

Elizabeth had never ever gotten out of her bed before on her own and on Christmas morning she did for the first time! BUT she didn't come out of her room, she stood inside knocking on the door and waited for us to come open it! How cute is that?!

She was also so excited to run out and see all the presents but she wasn't quite sure what to do. I had to tell her they were for her and that she could open them before she very hesitantly gave it a try!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We missed our family but were so thankful to be able to slow down and spend Christmas in our new home!

We had great moving help and even better babysitters!  We went to not one but two company Christmas parties!

This was our first year to ever, ever buy a tree from a store! And I hope it's our last! But Elizabeth didn't seem to mind...she's jumping with excitement!

Moving In

Work, work, work! That's what we've been doing!  We had carpet ripped up, hardwoods laid and then everything sanded and restrained. We LOVE our new floors!

I've never been so excited to see a moving truck in my life! I hugged all our movers...they were SO awesome! They think I'm nuts. Oh, well!

Brenda had the unfortunate job of unpacking the kitchen. She's back there buried in a mountain of packing paper!
