Warning this posted will be full of proud mommy blubbering and bragging!
I took Elizabeth to the dentist for the first time today and I couldn't have been MORE proud of her! I wasn't sure what to expect but I was talking it up all morning and she seemed excited so I was just going to hope for the best!
She played while we waited and this nice guy came out to get her. She jumped right up when he said her name and he sat with her and told her what was about to happen. She listened and talked and talked and talked and then she went right back with him. I honestly think I could have just stayed in the waiting room and she wouldn't have missed me! But then, how would I have taken all these pictures?! :)
She sweetly followed all of his directions.
There were other kids in there screaming and sobbing and I thought oh no! But not only was she unphased by it...she was trying to comfort them! My heart could have exploded!
Then it was her turn and she was a total rockstar! They did a full cleaning on her and again she just sat still and followed all the instructions despite the noises, tickling, and a mouth full of stuff! I. Couldn't. Believe. It!
She picked heart stickers because she said it was love day. I mean, what was she trying to do to me?! Sweetness overload!
Then she requested pizza for lunch. And don't tell her, but I'm pretty sure I would have given her anything she wanted at that point I was so proud!
And I let her eat this ENTIRE push up. Did I mention I would have given her anything?!
Ok. A little bit more...they said she was the only kid who had not cried in their office today. They also bragged on how confident and sure of herself she was! And she really was! Who knew a trip to the dentist could make me so emotional?! I'm blaming the hormones but man, am I proud of my girl (have I said that yet??)!
You should be a proud Mama. She is one sweet girl!!!
