Early Easter

We celebrated Easter early in VA with my family on Saturday. It was so great to see everyone and have some yummy food. Our trip was great, but as always, too short.

Audrey Ruth Dennis

Will and I are the proud uncle and auntie to this sweet new little (literally, 6lbs.) girl, Audrey. We were lucky enough to get to meet her as well as visit with her lucky parents, John and Jessica.

I didn't want to leave Lucy out :) She's our sweet niece dog, we love her too!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Will and I celebrated our 1st anniversary (hooray!) at the most beautiful place on earth, Kiawah Island, SC. My aunt and uncle so generously loaned us their beach house (thanks again, guys!) and we got to spend a few wonderful days there with some of our wonderful friends. I always love going to Kiawah but I think I loved it even more this time considering I was leaving 5 months of snow and cold behind to get there (its still snowing by the way...). So needless to say I spent practically every waking moment outside in the sun. It was PERFECT weather...high 70's...hot but not too hot...perfect.

Will had never been before and was so excited to see the alligators I was worried about him jumping in to pet them?? (too many episodes of Swamp People..ugh!)

Signs of Spring

Boone and I went for a little snowshoe last weekend and it was such a beautiful day! It was great to be outside with the sun shinning and in a T-SHIRT! Boone loves snowshoes as much as I do because he gets to run and play in the wide open spaces and run through the tall brush around the creek (which is obviously frozen and snow covered). Except for this one little hole we found...I have never been so excited to see running, non-frozen water before! Boone was excited too, he almost took a little swim :)

Hello, ground...good to see you again! 5 months is a long time to go without seeing the ground. It is going to be mud for a few months which is far from pleasant but at least that means the snow is melting.

Worn out!

I just wanted to add this picture because Saturday I snowshoed in a t-shirt and Sunday it was snowing again. I would also like to point out that, literally, as I am typing it is snowing like crazy outside (yesterday it was 60). But I have been told that is also part of Spring weather, sunny one day, snowing the next. So, Will and I will look like this outside for a couple of more weeks. Oh well.
