Glenwood Trip

Saturday we took everyone to Glenwood for the day. It's one of our favorite drives! It is only about an hour and a half away and you drive through the most beautiful canyon. I think everyone was really amazed and Lily even learned a new word, "tunnel" :)

We stopped to let everyone stretch their legs, look for rocks, get some fresh air, and play around the Colorado.

The grown ups kindly took the little kids home while the big kids stayed in Glenwood to play :) Will, Mike, Laura, Holly and I went out to dinner together and then to a concert. Will got tickets for all of us to see the Infamous Stringdusters, a bluegrass band. We had a great time!

Dennis Visit

Will and I had company for a couple of days last week. Robert, Brenda, Mike, Laura, Peter, Lily, Glenda and Holly all came to visit us! Luckily, our neighbors rent out their house and we were able to get their house for the time everyone was out here. It worked out perfectly! Will and I got to spoil sweet Peter and Lily a little <3

Friday, Laura and I got to spend a girls day together while Will, Holly, Robert and Mike went skiing. Don't you think lunch, manicures and shopping sounds so much better than skiing?? :)

They might have had a little bit of fun too :)

Won't You Be......My Partner?

When I started my job at Partners they told me that I needed to wait 6 months into my job before I could consider being a Senior Partner (mentor). Well a couple of weeks ago I hit my 6 month mark and I said sign me up!

My Junior Partner, Hannah, came over on Saturday and we spent the entire day together. We played outside with Boone, played the Wii (she is awesome at Mario Kart, and we all know I hate to lose) and baked cupcakes, something that she had never done before.

We had a great time together and I hope great things come out of this partnership for both of us!

Will Dennis: Boone Trainer :)

Will has been working a lot with Boone and his bird hunting skills. He may not come when you call him, you might have to chase him for 20 mins around the neighborhood, he might eat food off the counter but let me tell you....he can find a bird. I mean that's what is important right??

Don't worry we are working on the others...they just don't come as natural I guess.

Air Boone!

Don't Ya Want a Doughnut?

I made homemade doughnuts last week for a breakfast we had at work. I had the brilliant idea that we should do a doughnut bar...mmmm. Of course, AFTER, I said it I decided that it might be a good idea to figure out if I could actually make them! I did a practice run at home a couple of nights before and they were DEEEElicious.

The doughnut bar was a huge hit...even if I do say so myself :)

My New Love....Dyson!

WARNING!! Exciting post to follow (note the sarcasm)

Okay people, don't fall out of your chairs from excitement but....I got a new vacuum cleaner this weekend!! (I warned you this blog would not always be exciting!)

To be perfectly honest...I was not that excited either. I LOATHE vacuuming...seriously. It is Will's job so obviously I had no real strong feelings one way or another about our current vacuum. I knew it wasn't the greatest though (and I knew it couldn't have been the vacuum-er :). Anywho, we had some gift cards to Sears and apparently Dyson Vacuums were 20% off last week, something that Will knew in advance (??).

We checked out all of the Dyson's and laughed a little because the sales lady was talking to me the entire time, she obviously assumed I was the one who did the vacuuming! We decided on one and in 10 mins we were headed back home. It was the quickest, easiest, non-researching decision we have ever made!

I got home and vacuumed (yes, me!) the bedroom and thought I was going to die from excitement! It looked like we had brand new carpet! And I won't even talk about the amount of EW! in the canister. WOW! So I vacuumed the rug, the hardwood floors and even the kitchen. Will almost fainted and had to take the thing away from me! Needless to say I am now in love with my vacuum cleaner! I will only be vacuuming though until the excitement wears off...I wouldn't want to take Will's job away from him :)
Doesn't he just look like a natural??

Isn't she a BEAUT!?!
