Look what Will brought me yesterday for my office! He said it could remind me of somewhere tropical...and tropical makes me happy :) Thanks, Will.

Did You Check for a Tail?
FYI: The title of the blog has pretty much absolutely nothing to do with this blog. An appropriate title would clearly be something as clever as CornHole but I decided against it. The title was an inside/on going joke of the weekend. I thought those present would appreciate it :)
Will and I made the trek back to Virginia for my aunt's wedding (those pictures will be coming later...per the brides request) and some quality family time. We spent all day Friday and Friday night with the Salyer's. Friday day was girls with the girls and boys with the boys and we convened for dinner and cornhole. It is always wonderful to spend time together and also as always it provided some great comic relief (again, hints the title). There is nothing like laughing to the point of tears...and watching others do the same. Thanks guys...looking forward to a week of laughs in October!
The fearless first team...
All business. (If you have ever played a sport/game/anything with the Salyer people you would know we take our winning very seriously.)
Too much time on your hands?? We passed this piece of art many times over the weekend and felt it only right to share with the rest of the world. If you were asking yourself, what is that lovely sculpture made of? Wonder no more....it is nothing else but some hay bales and good ole spray paint. Time consuming? Yes. Creative? Sure. Necessary? Why not. Seen anywhere else in the world? Highly doubtful. One of the random quirks I love about home? Definitely!

SOD, SOD AND MORE SOD.
Looks are Deceiving...
Will and I decided that it would be fun and relaxing to take our neighbors canoe up to the FlatTops and spend some time on the lake...fishing, reading, and RELAXING. Except that is not exactly what happened...at all. Despite what the pictures show...Boone wouldn't sit still which means the boat was rocking, I was holding on for dear life while having a heart attack, Will was attempting to fish but I couldn't take it. Will dropped Boone and I off on the shore after Boone jumped off the side and hung himself with his leash. Maybe 5 minutes on the shore and we were attacked by killer mosquito's and Boone whined so loud he was disturbing everyone else there...shew...I'm getting stressed just writing this!
So back in the canoe we all went...back rocking across the lake we went. We decided maybe canoeing was an activity we would do from now on...MINUS the dog.
But the pictures are nice :)

Fish Creek Falls
Hannah and I went up to Fish Creek Falls last weekend. People had been telling us that it was unbelievable up there right now because of the snow melt so we went to check it out for ourselves. And it was AMAZING! I must have said that 100 times while we were back there but it really was...as usual the pictures don't do it justice.
Cuties
We had a neighborhood camp-out...Will and I only stayed long enough for smores :) and for me to get this cute picture!
Stagecoach Hike
Will and I took a hike up the old ski slopes at Stagecoach. We took the same hike in the winter but this time we actually made it to the top! Go us! It was beautiful and we only lost Boone once...I would consider that a success!
